WORK RULES

  1. WORK DAY:  Employees work day starts at call time and end when released from duty. Employee must have (8) eight hours or more off before returning to the job.
     

  2. MINIMUM CALL:  Depending on the employee’s classification, there is a (4) four or (8) eight hour minimum call. Please talk with your representative on this and other matter that are not listed in thesis work rules.
     

  3. BREAKS:  All employees are entitled to a (10) ten minute break every (2-1/2) two and one half hours of time worked. Breaks need not be granted during a performance, presentation, or meeting.
     

  4.  MEAL PERIODS:   First meal should be no earlier then (2) two hours and no later then (5) five hours. Second meal should be no earlier then (3-1/2) three and one half hour after the first meal and no later then (5) five hours after the meal. Meals are to be (1) one hour in duration unless the employer supplies the meal, then (1/2) hour meal is granted to employees. Meal periods can be staggered among members of the crew. Employees are guaranteed (2) two hours of work after returning from meal period.
     

  5.  MEAL PENALTIES:  (2x) Two times the prevailing rate for the first hour and stays at the (2x) times rate until such time as an appropriate meal break is taken. The employee can work (6) six hours without a meal period if at the (6) sixth hour they are released from duty. No penalty will apply. If the employee is not released at the (6th) sixth hour the meal penalty starts from the (5th) fifth hour.
     

  6.  OVERTIME:  Work performed in excess of (8) eight hours is (1-1/2x) one and one-half the appropriate hourly rate. (12) twelve hours is (2x) two times the appropriate hourly rate. (24) twenty-four hours is (3x) three times the appropriate hourly rate work performed on the (6th) day in a (7) seven day period is          (1-1/2x) one and one-half times the employees appropriate hourly rate for the first (8) eight hours and (2x) two times there after. (7th) seventh day of work in a (7th) seven day period is (2x) two times the employees appropriate hourly rate.
     

  7.  REST PERIODS:  Each employee shall be entitled to a rest period of (8) eight consecutive hours after he/she is released from duty.
     

  8.   HOLIDAYS:    Work performed on holidays are paid at (2x) two time the employees appropriate hourly rate. The holidays are: new years day, memorial day, independence day, Easter Sunday, labor day, thanksgiving day, and Christmas day. Holidays are from (12) twelve midnight to (12) twelve midnight.
     

  9.  JOB STEWARD:  Stage union requires a job steward on the work site at all times to administer the union contract. This person is a working employee working under one of the job classifications until the crew is over 20 people. At that time the job steward becomes a non-working steward.
     

  10.  SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE:   When required in-house production will supply a service representative to supervise the signing-in and out of all labor, assuring the requested number of labor per department, and call times are correct, current timesheets are filled out right, daily cost sheets for your staff, and dealing with accidents or injuries claims, working with labor safety concerns. If lifts are rented from in-house production the service representative will handle all problems with the operation of the lifts.
     

  11. A safety and introduction meeting will be held at the star of each job. A safety meeting   will be held the first day of load-in and the first day of load-out. The meeting will go over all safety problems and concerns, plus introduce all parties involved with the event / production.
